PRIVACY NOTICE
This Privacy Notice is effective as of 31 August 2025
SCOPE AND LEGAL BASIS
(1) We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information while you running the website https://inkposter.com (sometimes referred to as “website”, “online shop”, “online store”, or “online offer”). This Privacy Notice (“Notice” or “Privacy Notice”) will help you to understand who we are, how and what for we collect, use and store your personal information, how we keep your information secured, as well as your privacy rights and our commitments to comply with them. This Notice is provided in a layered format so you can click through to the specific areas set out below.
(2) This Notice does NOT apply to:
- Personal information we collect when you use an InkPoster device and/or the InkPoster mobile app. Those data practices are governed by our separate InkPoster Device & App Privacy Notice, also available within the InkPoster app;
- Personal information that we process about you if you interact with other websites, our branded social media pages, and other non-career websites which we operate, or other ways you may interact with us as a user of our products and services. In such cases, the relevant privacy notice of each product our service you interact with will apply;
- Personal information that we process about you if you are an employee/business contractor with us.
(3) We will notify you whenever we update this Notice by posting a new version on this page and identifying the date of update. In the event of substantial changes to this Notice, we will take additional steps to ensure you are aware of them. We also ensure the visibility and accessibility of this Notice by publishing and communicating it on all communication channels.
(4) Our website and services are not aimed at children under 16 years. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 16. If you have not reached the age limit, do not use the website and the services and do not provide us with your personal data. If you are a parent or guardian of a child below the age limit and you learn that your child has provided Pocketbook personal data, please contact us at privacy@inkposter.com and insist on exercising your rights of access, correction, cancellation and/or objection.
(5) This Privacy Notice was drafted in accordance with applicable U.S. consumer-privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, and any other similar state laws that may become effective (collectively, “U.S. Consumer Privacy Laws”) and, where applicable, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection of 25 September 2020, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss - U.S. DPF), and related frameworks.
(6) The term “user” includes all categories of persons affected by data processing. These include our business partners, customers, interested parties and other visitors to our online offering. The terms used, such as “user”, are to be understood as gender-neutral.

This Notice aims to give you information on how related companies, doing business as InkPoster and referred to in this Notice as “InkPoster”, “we,” “us,” or “our”, collects, uses, and discloses “personal information” when you visit or interact with this website and/or contacting us:

Under U.S. Consumer Privacy Laws, each company is the “business” (sometimes called the “controller” as defined by GDPR) for the personal information collected on this site, and for some processing they operate jointly.
We have a dedicated communication channel with which you can request more information about processing of your personal information. If you have any questions, comments or complaints regarding how we handle information about you, or if you want to assert any of your rights under the applicable privacy rules please send an email to privacy@inkposter.com.
2. THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
We collect, and have collected and disclosed in the preceding 12 months, the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers, such as your first and last name, alias, postal address, telephone or mobile contact number, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, and other similar identifiers;
- Personal information as defined in the California customer records law, such as name, contact information (e.g. email address, telephone number), and financial information;
- Commercial information, such as transaction information, purchase history, financial details, and payment token or PayPal transaction ID (we do not see full card details).
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as IP address, device type, browser, referring page, pages viewed, time spent, clicks, and cookie or pixel IDs; browsing history, search history, online behavior, interest data, and interactions with our and other websites, applications, systems, and advertisements.
- Geolocation data, such as approximate device location.
- Audio, electronic, or visual information you choose to provide during your interactions with us, for example, images attached to partnership or support forms, and chat or email with our sales or media teams in connection with our business activities.
- Professional or business-related information, such as your job title, the type of partnership you are seeking (e.g., distributor, gallery, school, government agency, media outlet), the name and country of your company or organization, and any details you provide in the “Tell us more about the partnership” field.
- User content, such as messages you send us, product reviews, forms you submit;
- Device data, such as hardware model, operating-system version, unique device identifiers;
- Inferences drawn from any of the personal information listed above to create a profile or summary about, for example, a consumer’s preferences and characteristics.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health data or precise geolocation). If you believe you have sent us sensitive data in error, please e-mail privacy@inkposter.com so we can delete it.
3. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
Here are the types of sources of personal information. We collect data from a variety of places, including:
- Information You Give Us. We collect this personal information from you in relation to InkPoster Services, e.g, when you create an InkPoster account, place an order, contact Support, or fill out a partnership form (Business, Art, or Public Relations). You can choose not to provide certain information, but that may limit your ability to complete a purchase or submit a partnership request.
- Automatic Information. We automatically collect and store certain types of information about your use of InkPoster services, including information about your interaction with products, content, and services available through this website. Like many websites, we use "cookies" and other unique identifiers, and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser or device accesses InkPoster website.

Information from Other Sources. We also receive information from third parties, such as payment processors (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal) confirming a successful transaction; carriers (e.g., FedEx) providing updated tracking or address data; and public sources or social networks when you interact with our official pages.
4. FOR WHAT PURPOSES WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use each of the categories of personal information described above to operate, manage, and maintain our business; provide and improve InkPoster products and services; and communicate with you. Typical business purposes and objectives include:
- Purchase and delivery of products and services. We use your personal information to take and handle orders, deliver products and services, process payments, and communicate with you about orders, products and services, and promotional offers.
- Operate and improve the website. We use your personal information to provide functionality, analyze performance, fix errors, and improve the usability and effectiveness of the InkPoster website.
- Recommendations and personalization. We use your information to personalize your experience on the InkPoster website remembering items left in your cart, tailoring on-site banners and marketing e-mails, and recommending products, features, or promotions that match your interests.
- Partnership enquiries. We use the information you provide to evaluate Business, Art, and Public-Relations partnership requests, including the partnership type, your organization’s details, and any notes you add in the “Tell us more” field.
- Comply with legal obligations. We collect and use personal information when required to comply with legal obligations (for example, to satisfy tax, accounting, and consumer-protection requirements and to respond to lawful requests from regulators or courts).
- Communicate with you. We use your personal information to communicate with you in relation to InkPoste Services via different channels (for example, by phone, email, chat).
- Advertising. We use your personal information to display interest-based ads for features, products, and services that might be of interest to you. We do not use information that personally identifies you to display interest-based ads.

Security & fraud prevention. We use personal information to prevent, detect and investigate suspicious activity, protect user accounts, and safeguard our website infrastructure.
5. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
During the past 12 months, we have disclosed each category of personal information for the operational purposes listed above to the following categories of recipients:
- Affiliates and subsidiaries of PocketBook International SA;
- Service providers who perform services on our behalf (payment processing, order fulfilment, returns, diagnostic, repair, replacement, cloud hosting, analytics, marketing, customer-support platforms);

Professional advisers (lawyers, auditors) and public authorities when required by law or needed to protect our rights.
6. PERSONAL INFORMATION SOLD OR SHARED
InkPoster does not sell personal information for monetary compensation. However, we disclose limited online identifiers (e.g., cookie IDs, IP addresses, device information) to analytics and advertising partners including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, and Google Analytics. These partners use the data to measure site performance and to show you targeted ads across the internet. Under U.S. privacy laws, the disclosure is deemed “sharing,” and in California and similar states it may also be treated as a “sale”.
You may opt out of this sharing at any time by opening “Cookie Settings” in the site footer or by sending a browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. InkPoster does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
7. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
InkPoster does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (e.g., precise geolocation, health data). If, with your consent or at your request, we do receive sensitive data, we use it only to:
- deliver the specific service you requested;
- detect and investigate security incidents or fraud;
- perform short-term, transient uses that are not part of profiling or targeted advertising;
- carry out quality-control, safety, or product-improvement activities;
- comply with legal obligations.
8. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
InkPoster uses cookies, pixels, and other device identifiers to recognize your browser, secure the site, remember preferences, and improve website performance. For details on the types of cookies we set and how to manage them, please see our Cookies Declaration.
9. HOW WE SECURE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
(1) We take your security seriously and take reasonable steps to protect and secure your personal information. Taking into account state of the art, the implementation costs and the type, scope, circumstances, and purposes of the processing as well as the different probability of occurrence and severity of the risk for the rights and freedoms of natural persons, we have implemented measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized, accidental, or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, misuse, disclosure, access, and other unlawful forms of processing.
(2) We have established the Group’s data management policies to commit to privacy and security controls, as well as IT security policy and confidentiality statement; we also constantly monitor our data inventory to keep it updated. We have accurately performed and documented privacy impact assessments concerning certain operations and processing activities of our online offer to analyze and detect privacy risks towards your personal data. From time to time and when needed so, we perform security training and awareness sessions for the Group’s employees and contractors.
(3) The security measures include the encrypted data transmission between your browser and our server. In addition, we have set up procedures that ensure the exercise of the rights of those affected, the deletion of data, and a response to threats to the data.
(4) We limit access to your personal data to a genuine business need-to-know basis. Our personnel accessing your data act under our internal data protection rules and policies. Third parties will only process your personal information in an authorized manner, following our instructions and subject to a confidentiality duty.
(5) Unfortunately, information transmitted via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted online. Therefore, any transmission remains at your own risk.
10. HOW LONG SHALL WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
InkPoster keeps personal information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice or as otherwise required by law. We follow an internal Data Retention and Destruction Policy that assigns a specific time-frame to every category of personal information we collect on this website. We keep data only as long as it serves a lawful business purpose or is required by U.S. law, then securely delete or de-identify it.
If we wish to hold information longer for a potential future opportunity, we will first ask for your explicit consent. When a retention period ends — or when we no longer need the data — we securely destroy or de-identify it in accordance with our policy and applicable regulations.
If you believe we are keeping your information longer than permitted, please email privacy@inkposter.com. We will review your request and either delete the data or explain the legal basis for retaining it; if immediate deletion is not possible, we will isolate the information from further processing until removal is allowed.
11. WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE
Depending on where you live and the scope of the applicable U.S. state privacy law, you may exercise some or all of the rights listed below. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the timeframe required by law. We may need to request specific information from you to confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights).
You will not be expected to pay a fee to obtain your data unless we consider that your access request is unfounded or excessive. In these circumstances, we may charge you a reasonable fee or refuse to comply with your request. We may charge a reasonable fee if you request another copy of the information already provided to us.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah or Virginia resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to Opt Out of Sales and Sharing or Using Personal Information for Targeted Advertising. As we mentioned in the previous sections, we do not sell and/or share your personal data in exchange for monetary or other value. “Share” in terms of the California Consumer Privacy Act means that a business will make your personal data available to a third party for “crosscontext behavioral advertising” (i.e., to target you to receive ads based on information collected about you when you visit different websites, use mobile apps or services from other service providers). We do not share your personal data in the meaning for “crosscontext behavioral advertising” as mentioned in the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- Right to Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We would like to stress that we do not collect and do not use your sensitive data. If you believe that you accidentally shared your sensitive data with us, please let us know immediately. We`ll delete such data without delay.

Right to Know: you have the right to ask us what your personal information we collect, use, disclose and sell.
- California residents may also request disclosure of: (i) the categories of personal information collected and the sources of that information; (ii) the business or commercial purposes for collecting or sharing it; (iii) the categories of personal information shared and the categories of third parties that received it; and (iv) the categories of personal information otherwise disclosed and the recipients of those disclosures.
- Minnesota and Oregon residents may request the categories of personal information processed and the third parties to whom it has been disclosed.
- Delaware residents may request the categories of third parties to whom personal information has been disclosed.
- Right to Correct: If you believe that your personal data in our records is not actual and/or include mistakes, you have the right to send us a request to correct the data we are keeping about you.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our records. We`ll satisfy your request subject to the lack of any grounds to continue to maintain them (for example, we have a litigation with you and your data is necessary for your identification as a party of litigation process; or we have contractual relations with you and this data is necessary to fulfill our undertakings under the contract and so on (the list of cases is non-exhaustive).

Right Not to Be Discriminated Against: You may not be discriminated against because you want to exercise any of your privacy rights under the applicable laws. This means that nobody can refuse to provide you with the goods/services and/or to provide you with the goods/services of a different quality on the ground that you exercised your privacy rights.

If you send us a request to exercise such your rights, as right to delete, right to correct, and right to know, we may ask that you provide certain information to verify your identity. The information that we ask you to provide to verify your identity will depend on your prior interactions with us and the sensitivity of the personal information at issue. We will respond to your request in accordance with the applicable regulations.
You have a right to designate an authorized agent to make a request regarding your privacy rights on your behalf if you reside in California and:
- The authorized agent is a natural person or a business entity registered with the Secretary of State of California; and
- You sign a written declaration that you authorize the authorized agent to act on your behalf.
If you decided to engage an authorized agent to submit a request to exercise your privacy rights, please ask the authorized agent to take the following steps in addition to the steps specified above:
- Submit a certified copy of your written declaration authorizing an authorized agent to act on your behalf to Pocketbook; and
- Provide data, sufficient to verify your identity.
If you issue a power of attorney for your authorized agent as specified in the sections 4000 - 4465 of the California Probate Code, we will reply to any request from such authorized agent in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act. No need to take the steps mentioned above with respect to the engagement of the authorized agent.
We encourage you to resolve all the privacy issues with us directly. Meanwhile, If you are not satisfied with our response to your privacy concern, you have a right to file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency (https://cppa.ca.gov/) if you believe that we violated your privacy rights.
Special Notice For Canadians
We may store and further process your personal information on servers in jurisdictions outside of Canada, including in the United States of America and European Union. While your personal information is in a jurisdiction other than Canada, it may be accessed by the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that jurisdiction, or otherwise, in accordance with the laws applicable in that jurisdiction.
