Born in Switzerland, inspired by vintage posters

What started as a personal passion soon evolved into a reinvention of the way art is seen, felt, and experienced.

It began in Switzerland in 2013 at the headquarters of PocketBook, a company known for its innovative e-reading solutions. A single vintage travel poster – “Lugano. Scene of Gandria Village”, 1952, by Swiss artist Daniele Buzzi – became a true spark.

A growing curated collection of vintage posters filled the office walls with a mosaic of time, place, and feeling. But walls have limits. Inspiration does not.

We began to imagine a new way to reflect ever-evolving art – a new type of ePaper frame that would preserve the essence of a real canvas. Silent and ambient, capturing pure and vivid colors, yet remaining dynamic and endlessly adaptable. This dream soon evolved into the concept of InkPoster.

For years, we waited for the right ePaper technology; it needed to be capable of reproducing the tone and texture of art. In 2018, an innovative breakthrough came: a new generation of color ePaper – refined, sustainable, and true to the paper-like soul of art on canvas. In 2024, the technology had finally reached the level of refinement needed to bring our vision to life.

InkPoster is the result – the world’s first color ePaper art poster.
